I cant believe its been 39 weeks. I cant believe we’re going to be parents. This journey is bizarre in the best of ways. I’m really hoping that the next photo will have our baby girl in it…but only time will tell. I’m pretty sure she’ll get here when she wants…I just hope its not another 2 weeks : )

life lately…
1. my feet literally need to be up all. the. time. the swelling is a bit out of control. bretts new favorite game is pushing on my feet or shins and making little dents in my legs. he thinks its hiiiilarious…im really not that amused by it. also lately…im really good at balancing things on my belly. the other day i was eating a bowl of ice cream at my dads and i was telling a story with my hands with out realizing that i wasnt actually holding on to my bowl. it was propped nice and sturdy like on my belly. needless to say…my dad was very impressed at the skills that i have honed during these last weeks of pregnancy.
2. my lovely friend bought penny these ADORABLE baby minnetonkas! i’m a little jealous that she scored a pair before i did. I’m sure ill get over it when i see them on her teeny tiny feets. my goodness!
3. This guy got a sweet new job! I’m so very proud of him, it’s sort of ridiculous. He’s already working so hard for me and our little one, and i’m so thankful for everything he does and is working towards. also…hes pretty damn cute.
4. her room is complete! i love this simple little space that we have made for her. i find myself wandering in there these days and just sitting in my chair with my feet up. looking around at all the tiny things she’ll fit in and occasionally talking to her about how much we want to meet her face to face.
Life is super crazy right now, with trying to wrap up work and new jobs and hectic schedules. Brett and I were talking last night about how we cant wait for the two weeks we’ll have together after penny comes, of no work and no plans, just being a tiny family. It’s gonna be a rough first 2 weeks we’re sure, but theres something about knowing that it will just be us for a little while…it sounds pretty special.
here’s hoping she gets here soon!

1. a belly and a peace sign t-shirt.
2. a belly and its pal. we were up in bako this weekend for shower #1! it was so fun celebrating with bretts side of the fam and its great to see how excited all the people are that love him so much. i squeezed in a moment of sweet snuggle time with his moms dog duke and it was probably the highlight of my weekend : ). i love pups. maybe a little too much. we have desperately wanted our own dog for quite some time, but we’re just gonna stick with penny for now. a pup will be in the lemster home one day though…that is for sure!
3. us trekking home with the goods! so many diapers yall its unreal! on our way home we drove through taco bell for a little “on the road munch” and the lady helping us was like…”um are you having a baby?”…our mound of diapers and onesies in the back of our car was quite the tip off.
4. brett and i have begun simultaneously reading the harry potter books. its kind of one of our favorite things to snuggle up and read together, and its kinda fun to be going through the series at the same time. (and yes, we have 2 sets of the harry potter books…we may even have 2 and a half…how that happened…we dont know)

1. my dad is out of town for a week, and offered up their air conditioned home and pool for me and brettles to get a way and escape the heat. we happily obliged with a little over night stay on wednesday night. it was funny, because all we did is sit in the air conditioning and watched reality tv (oh the joys of cable television) and we felt sooooo relaxed. theres something about getting away (only a 30 minute drive from our house) and it feeling like we were on vacation. i think the mr. and i needed some alone time and some quiet. it was SO nice. then we pooled it up and watched independents day and had some local pizza goodness with some good friends on saturday : ). pool time while pregnant…magic : )
2. our good friend kyle married his beautiful lady natalie on sunday night at this kick a venue. it was absolutely gorgeous! we are so happy for these two. we’re kind of fans of this whole marriage thing and we get really excited when our friends get to experience it!
3. like i said this venue was amazing. not only was the ceremony beautiful, but there were all sorts of things hidden around this ranch. a ferris wheel, a petting zoo (so excited about baby goats!) and this awesome little merry-g0-round. of course we decided to have a little photo opp moment. cuz you know…we were fancy and we love being nerds.
this weekend was full and fun and i am so in need of a nap.
happy monday friends!

1. We welcomed baby Jessen in the world with tons of oo’s and ah’s and ohmygoodness’s. hes adorable. coming in at a whopping 9 lbs 2 oz and 20 in. well done mama jessen. well done. PS…how cute does that husband of mine look toting a little babe! cant wait to watch him with penny!
2. grapes grapes grapes…all day long. it’s most likely the heat but all i want is cold fresh fruit all up in this belly. and salads. anything that is not hot, because I’ve got a serious case of permanent sweaty face going on here.
3. baby jessen again. hes so cute you guys! so glad that we have Eric and Christy next door to us, and that we get to share in this epic and crazy journey together. it has already been such a blessing to us to watch them welcome home their baby. and we cant wait until we can have little baby play dates with our little ones!
4. some side bump action. this belly is large and in charge. creating all sorts of issues with bending, sitting, laying, rolling over…younameit. i do what the belly wants to do which is pretty much lay in front of our ac unit on the floor in my elaborately made pillow lounge chair I’ve created (its sort of amazing…maybe ill post about it soon : ) )
ummmm…this week is pretty spectacular! 4th of July is here! its my favorite holiday of all time and I’m all sorts of excited to eat some BBQ and watch some fireworks! Yay!

1 & 2. We got to visit our dear friends kim and nick and their two little weirdos Eva and Edie! We love this fam, and we also love Kims sweet photo skillz. She was kind enough to snap some maternity shots for our little fam bam and we had fun posing in this little lemon orchard. we cant wait to see the final photos! She also made us some really amazing homemade pizza and smores. if i could id live with her and have her be my mom forever…shes kinda super mom.
3. sunday morning i was up early enough to do a little cleanin and a little loungin on the couch. theres something about clean quiet time that is so much more refreshing than messy quiet time.
4. after my cleanin and loungin, i got to go have some good ol breakfast with the jessens. it was a little bit of a “this is our last breakfast out without a baby” sort of celebration. they went into the hospital at 8pm that night to be induced! still no baby jessen yet…but the rumor is he should be making his debut on tuesday! so excited to meet this little guy!
this weekend was another full one. with friendship and a quick visit from the mom in law and little bro casey! we’ve also had bretts younger brother garrett staying with us for a week, and im sad that hes leaving today for 5 weeks on tour with his band. its been kinda fun having him around. and then next weekend my brother, sis in law, and little lily bean are leaving for 6 weeks : (. there will definitely be a sibling hole in both mind and bretts hearts this summer : (.
well…thats all for now…viva la monday my friends!
gram it…all the daddys in the house say haaaaaay
i have been blessed with some amazing, godly men in my life. i mean no one is perfect…but they are pretty damn good. my grandpa hall is still one of my favorite men of all time, and i miss him often.
1. this man. my dad. the man that helped give me life : ). through everything he has always been my dad. with his gentle strength and constant encouragement and understanding. hes a good one. and i am so very lucky to have him. im thankful that i get the privilege of being his little girl.
2. im going to try not to be too mushy on this one, because my brother reads my blog…HI RYAN! but i have gotten to watch my older brother who i am super close with and care very much for become a dad. its so crazy. lily loves him so very much and its easy to see why. hes a wonderful father, who gives his life to take care of his family. you’re a good dad bub. and i cant wait to get to experience parenthood alongside you, and for beach trips with you, karen, lily, ethan, me, brett, and penny! we’ve got a pretty awesome pocket of family growing between the two of us, and it makes me super excited about where life will lead us all next!
3. oh and then theres this guy. my husband. soon to be daddy, but pretty much already a great dad in my mind. i always joke that he is a special man to put up with the likes of me, but really. he is. through out everything i feel nothing but love from him. he is definitely a gift from jesus, and i cannot wait to watch him with our baby girl. i don’t think i could ever find the words to describe how lucky i feel to have him and how happy i am that he is the man i get to have a family with. you are loved mr. lemster…very much so.
i hope you all had a wonderful fathers day!

1. a little lunch and munch and some hobbit reading with the bump.
2. oh this man. THIS man. makin me feel like the luckiest girl in the world…all day…urrday.
3. brett and i have this joke that we are secretly an old elderly married couple. our friday night consisted of us at a coffee shop eating sandwiches (listening to the vocal stylings of the lovely faith shaw) and playing an intense game of scrabble. we were at the coffee shop for a few hours and we were home and IN bed by 830pm. it. was. awesome. on our way home we kept talking about how much fun we had and how we should do this more often. fogies.
4. done did it. went ahead and just cut the hair. to some this may seem drastic. but to me…its called going back to normal. im a short haired girl. i have this love hate relationship with long hair…i want it so badly, but when it starts getting long i feel weird and immediately wanna cut it off again. post pregnancy there is talk of a pixie cut. im VERY excited about this.
This weekend was jam packed! We got to celebrate with some of my dearest friends at a shower for baby jeter and got to meet one of my best friends new baby boy Jadson! Brett held his first new baby (which was very exciting!). He didnt hold our niece until she was a good solid 5 or 6 months. new borns freak him out…haha. then we got to have dinner with one of our favorite couples that we NEVER get to see. All in all it was good…but still…too short.
Back to work.

1. I received this super amazing print from an incredibly creative friend of mine named Katie Hall (which coincidentally was my old name before a became a Lemster). This girl is so talented and you should all go buy her art! She doesn’t have a website but you can follow her on instagram @tidalelephant…check it out!
2. Because this baby makes me go to bed at 9pm every night and I’m incapable of sleeping more than 8 hours I’ve been waking up insanely early on the weekends. Saturday and Sunday I was up at 630am. Sunday I woke up and opened all the windows and doors and let the cool morning air creep in while I made a little breakfast for me and the mr. I gave him his in bed and started to go out on the patio to enjoy mine when his sleepy little bear face emerged and he decided to join me. I love these quiet cool mornings on our patio with each other. We both agreed that it felt like we were by the beach. Which to us, who are big beach loving people, its a nice way to start the day. If we could just have the ocean we’d be set.
3. This is how we roll. After a busy weekend of going from thing to thing we like to just kinda hibernate in our room. Usually with a large pizza, a movie, and some snuggles.
It was a good weekend. Especially lately ive been blessed with these little pockets of time where i can feel how content i am with where we are. Like you step out of your life for a second and get to look at it with a fond little smile. I’m appreciating these quiet slow moments before baby gets here. Hope you all had a lovely weekend!

1. i woke up super early with a ton of energy. this rarely happens so i decided to capitalize on that mess and make my wonderful husband (who takes the best care of me ever) a little breakfast. the weather was amazing this weekend and it was so nice eating with all the windows open and a nice little breeze…and the sleepy oogly eyes at each other are always nice : )
2. finally got the urge to paint and was able to make a couple gifts for some dear friends of mine that are also having baby girls this summer.
3. pool time with lily bean. good lord i love my niece. i
4. sad to say, ive been totally hooked on desperate housewives. also i drink ice water out of this giant beer stein because im a wild thirsty beast all. the. time. and im making penny a little blanket out of left over yarn from her poms.
this weekend was FULL of so much relaxation, friendship, alone time with the hubs and fam, and a little creating time squeezed in there. it was the BEST! but alas…here we are…back at work. at least its only a 4 day week.
hope all of your memorial day weekends were fantastic!
